ABOUT KIDS FEST
This children’s concert and festival was specially designed for elementary-aged children, offering them an immersive, hands-on experience with the fine arts. The concert is both educational and entertaining. The festival featured live music, arts and crafts, a free lunch, and more!
Our inspiration comes from a similar successful program by the University of Georgia and Piedmont Medical Center in 2023. We are very proud that West Hall proudly partnered with local businesses to bring a vibrant festival to Hall County.

We also drew inspiration from Leonard Bernstein’s Young People’s Concert series with the New York Philharmonic, which popularized classical music for new audiences on CBS for 14 years. While many major symphony orchestras now offer family and children’s concerts, this approach has not yet been widely adopted in secondary education. We've observed that high school students and educators engaging with elementary schools significantly boosts participation in fine arts at the middle and high school levels, fostering a greater sense of purpose and community involvement.

We are excited that the Kid’s Fest will become an annual event that is free for families and promotes healthy activities and mental health awareness by exposing young people to the arts and positive forms of expression. We also envision this as a potential traveling event, bringing the children’s concert to various venues, including local elementary schools and preschools.

Thank you to our 2024 Sponsors for making this happen! Clipper Petroleum, Pipe Dream Prints, Whole Being Cafe, and Creative Group Tours.
