Everyone should have the NYC trip paid in FULL by March 7th ($850.00)!
Here is the tentative NYC schedule. Please take note of what meals are not covered and send enough money with your student for these and for souvenirs. They should all eat plenty at breakfast and maybe grab a piece of fruit and fill up a water bottle to put in their bag for the day. They can purchase a slice of pizza or a hot dog for lunch.
For the Broadway show, Jersey Boys - This event is semi-formal for band students and chaperons. It will reflect well on our school and our organization. Gentlemen should wear a coat and tie or a suit. A tie with a dress shirt and slacks is the bare-minimum. If you do not have access to this, you can wear their band tuxedo as a more formal alternative. NO JEANS! NO TENNIS SHOES! Ladies should wear something of similar class and formality. Avoid something too short or casual. Darker colors are better for both males and females.
For the Philharmonic concert - Mr. Phillips said Sunday dress. So the same as Jersey Boys.
Dress comfortably for walking around the city, but remember that the school dress code will be in effect at all times on the trip. Remember that you are representing your school, the band, and yourself. Dress accordingly.
Seniors and senior parents please notice that Sunday night will be Senior night and we will have something special planned for you.
Students have signed up for room's (adults were also assigned rooms) and will sign up for buses this week in Matt Phillips' room. Students should sign-up by Thursday. Parents going on the trip please have your student sign you up for a bus.

Also, please get your payments in for the NYC Trip. We have to pay the complete balance in March so you should have the trip almost paid in full. We hope to have more information about the trip within the next week. If any of you are going to NYC but not traveling with the band we may have tickets to the shows they are seeing available if you would like to purchase them. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested. They are seeing Jersey Boys and going to the Philharmonic for a concert.
Mrs. Phillips is back home after a week in the hospital. She is almost done with the radiation. Please continue to pray for them. Mr. P really misses all of the kids and we know they are anxious to have him back. Thank goodness we have Matt Phillips and Beth Pitman to help out in his absence.
Remember you can always check the band website for information and get forms if you need them. http://www.westhallband.org/
The WH Band Pancake Breakfast scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed to NEXT Saturday, Feb. 22nd.
Unsold tickets and/or money is due Wednesday, Feb. 19th.
Remember, this is a great way to make some money for your New York account or to pay for other band fees.
If you have sold tickets, please make sure you let the people know that it has been changed! We don't want to make anyone mad that is trying to help us out.
Please help spread the word.
