"The Spring Concert is one of my favorite performances of the year. Not only is it an opportunity for the bands to show their progress from during the year, but it is an opportunity for the seniors to play one more time with their peers as a member of the band. Sure, they play at graduation, but that never has the same feeling as taking the stage at Pearce.
I enjoy the more contemporary and pops style program that we put forth in the spring. As with all the band performances, it is a huge relief when it is over. But, it is a joy to be a part of. We work very hard to be at our best in everything we do. But, I rarely get the opportunity to step back and enjoy the accomplishment because the next deadline or performance is just around the corner. However, seeing young people tap into their musical talents is one of the best parts of my job. One of many great parts, I should add."
