- Work with Drum Major and Band Captain to help plan regular leadership meetings
- Model Band member for both marching and playing
- Dedicated to score study and learning proper conducting techniques
- Assist with rehearsal and sectionals when needed
- Conduct stands tunes when the Drum Major is absent
- Assist the Director with logistical and instructional tasks during marching and basketball band season
- Takes attendance on Charms for every rehearsal
- Work with Leadership Team to plan several social/bonding events throughout the summer and marching season
- Complete a BLAST Project in your area of interest
Section Leaders
(Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, High Brass (Mello/Trumpet), Trombone/Euphonium, Tuba, Drumline, Colorguard)
- Instruct members of the section in marching and musical techniques throughout the year- YOU are the standard for musical ability and marching technique
- Set up special sectionals when necessary to make ALL members perform at their highest ability level
- Remain a positive influence on the band and your section throughout the year
- Pass off your section on various memorization requirements throughout the marching season (including colorguard work)
- Assist Director and Staff in teaching the marching show requirements
- Complete a BLAST Project in your area of interest
Uniform Chair
- Complete a uniform inspection prior to all performances (section leaders assist)
- Oversee the distribution of uniforms before and after each performance (section leaders assist)
- Ensure the uniform room is kept clean and sanitary
- Organize the dry cleaning process (section leaders assist)
- Keep log in charms of uniform issues (repairs, etc)
- Report those with uniform deficiencies to the Band Captain and Drum Major for consequences.
- Complete a BLAST Project in your area of interest
Properties Crew Chief
- Organize group of 4 to 6 hard-working, dedicated students to serve on the Properties Crew
- Oversee set up of all band equipment prior to rehearsals, games, parades, competitions, concerts, and special events
- Ensure all properties crew are trained in how to manage the sound equipment
- Ensure the band storage rooms are kept clean and organized
- Complete a BLAST Project in your area of interest
Librarians
- Oversee organization and maintenance of Music Library
- Assists the Director with logistical tasks during marching season, basketball band season, and concert season
- Must have knowledge of score order and copy machines
- Dedicated to the West Hall Band and willing to serve in any capacity when needed
- Complete a BLAST Project in your area of interest

- Plans and organizes social events for all band members throughout the year
